Arlene Rodríguez, DDS, MD


Biography

Dr. Arlene Rodríguez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduate and dental degree at the University of Maryland. She returned to Puerto Rico where she completed her medical degree. Then completed a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.

Since 2002, she has been working in private practice as well in the academics field.
She has been the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Section Chief at the Northport Veterans A
ffairs Medical Center since 2007. One of her roles is to train residents from the Long Island Jewish Hospital/Northwell OMFS program, as well as general dentists from the VA.

She has been working and serving the Huntington community for the last 18 years.
Currently she lives in Cold Spring Harbor with her husband, Dr. William Schneider and their 2 boys, Bryan and Ian. She is active in the community, where she serves as a member of the Hispanic Advisory Task Force of Huntington and is a member of the Junior Welfare League.

La Dra. Arlene Rodríguez nació y se crió en Puerto Rico. Hizo estudios en la Universidad de Maryland en donde obtuvo un Bachillerato en Ciencias. Luego estudió odontología y obtuvo el grado de D.D.S. en Baltimore College of Dental Surgery-Universidad de Maryland. Regresó a Puerto Rico y estudió medicina y obtuvo el grado de M.D. en la Universidad Central del Caribe. Hizo la especialidad de Cirugía Oral y Maxilofacial en la ciudad de Nueva York en el Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Actualmente es la jefa del Departamento de Cirugía Oral & Maxilofacial en el Hospital de Veteranos en Northport y ha estado trabajando en la práctica privada en Huntington por los últimos 18 años.

La doctora vive en Cold Spring Harbor con su esposo, el Dr. William Schneider y sus 2 hijos, Bryan y Ian. Ella está activa en la comunidad de Huntington, es miembro del Hispanic Advisory Task Force y de Junior Welfare League.
